The NHL ANDREW COGLIANO HITS 1,000-GAME MILESTONE Dallas Stars center Andrew Cogli- ano played in his 1,000th career game Feb. 13, becoming the 348th player in NHL history to hit the milestone and just the 30th active one to do so. Perhaps what's even more impres- sive is that Cogliano has missed just seven out of a possible 1,007 outings during his NHL tenure, while compet- ing in the first 830 tilts of his career from Oct. 4, 2007, through Jan. 13, 2018. "Andrew's preparation, discipline and approach to the game each and every day have made him one of the most well respected teammates in the League," Stars general manager Jim Nill said upon Cogliano's accom- plishment. "Reaching the 1,000-game milestone is not only a testament to his commitment, but also speaks to his resiliency and toughness." Compher (2014-16), LW, Colo- rado Avalanche: Compiled eight goals and 17 assists in 54 appearances for the 33-18-6 Avalanche. • Kyle Connor (2015-16), LW, Win- nipeg Jets: Logged 29 goals and 31 as- sists in 60 games for 30-25-5 Winnipeg … Leads the club in goals and points, with his 29 goals tying for ninth-most in the league this year … His 59 points were deadlocked for 14th in the league. • Andrew Copp (2013-15), C, Winni- peg Jets: Notched 10 goals and 12 as- sists in 52 contests for the 30-25-5 Jets. • Phillip Di Giuseppe (2011-14), LW, New York Rangers: Posted two assists in eight games for the 30-24-4 Rangers, after having spent the majority of the year with Hartford of the AHL. • Luke Glendening (2009-12), C, De- troit Red Wings: Racked up six goals and three assists in 50 outings for the 14-43-4 Red Wings … Missed 11 games with a wrist injury. • Carl Hagelin (2008-11), LW, Wash- ington Capitals: Recorded five goals and 13 assists in 47 contests for the 37-16-5 Capitals, after missing a month earlier in the campaign with an upper-body injury. • Quinn Hughes (2018-19), D, Van- couver Canucks: Registered eight goals and 37 assists in 58 affairs for the 32-22-5 Canucks … Leads all NHL rook- ies with 45 points. • Matt Hunwick (2004-07), D, Buf- falo Sabres: Out for the entire season with a neck injury. • Zach Hyman (2012-15), C, Toronto Maple Leafs: Tallied 18 goals and 15 as- sists in 41 appearances for the 31-21-8 Maple Leafs. • Jack Johnson (2006-07), D, Pitts- burgh Penguins: Totaled three goals and eight assists in 55 games for the 36-15-6 Penguins. • Steven Kampfer (2007-10), D, Bos- ton Bruins: Accumulated two assists in just 10 contests for the 37-11-12 Bruins, having spent most of the season with its AHL affiliate. • Dylan Larkin (2015), C, Detroit Red Wings: Compiled 15 goals and 25 as- sists in 57 games for the 14-43-4 Red Wings … Led the club in assists and points (40), and was second in goals. • Jon Merrill (2011-13), D, Vegas Golden Knights: Logged two goals and five assists in 46 outings for 30-22-8 Vegas. • Tyler Motte (2013-16), C, Vancou- ver Canucks: Notched three goals and two assists in 24 contests for the 32-22-5 Canucks, while missing two months with a foot injury and then an upper- body ailment suffered in late January. • Boo Nieves (2012-16), C, New York Rangers: Failed to post any goals or assists in four games with the 30-24-4 Rangers, having spent most of the year with the Hartford of the AHL. • Max Pacioretty (2007-08), LW, Ve- gas Golden Knights: Racked up 29 goals and 26 assists in 60 contests for the 30-22-8 Golden Knights … Led the squad in goals and was tied for 14th in the league in the category. • Greg Pateryn (2009-12), D, Min- nesota Wild: Has yet to record a goal or an assist in nine appearances with the 27-24-7 Wild … Saw his first action of the year Jan. 12 after recovering from offseason back surgery. • Jacob Trouba (2013), D, New York Rangers: Registered seven goals and 17 assists in 58 games for the 30-24-4 Rangers. • Zach Werenski (2015-16), D, Co- lumbus Blue Jackets: Tallied 18 goals and 17 assists in 53 contests for the 30-18-12 Blue Jackets … Hampered by a shoulder injury in December that caused him to miss time … His 18 goals led all NHL defensemen. ❏ Tim Hardaway Jr. • NBA The Dallas Mavericks guard scored a season-best 33 points on 12-of- 18 shooting in his club's 123-119 loss to Utah Feb. 10, connecting on 5 of 10 three-point attempts. It also marked Hardaway's highest scoring game since he poured in 34 points at Atlanta on Nov. 7, 2018. Caris LeVert • NBA The Brooklyn Nets guard compiled a career-best 37 points in a 119- 118 loss at Toronto Feb. 8, making 12 of 18 shots. LeVert was especially dangerous from beyond the three-point arc, draining 6 of 7 attempts from deep. Moritz Wagner • NBA The Washington Wizards forward competed for the World team in the Rising Stars game Feb. 14 during All-Star Weekend, with his 16 points off the bench tying for the third most on the club.
