golf cart and 18 holes of golf plus reception and dinner at Bruno's Restaurant after golf. Price for college-aged students is $125 each. The fifth-annual event is sponsored by Purdue's Trademark Licensing Office, in conjunction with the National Football Foundation's Joe Tiller Chapter of Northwest Indiana. Kerrigan, a former Purdue All- American and a Pro Bowl linebacker for the Washington Redskins last season, will play in the event, along with former Boiler greats Leroy Keyes and Rosevelt Colvin. Proceeds will be split between the 12th Boiler Scholarship Fund, which endows a football scholarship, and the NFF Scholarship Fund, which helps high school students who are headed into their first year of college. Target deadline to register for the outing is Friday. Hazell Helps Purdue Challenge Set Record Coach Darrell Hazell served as honorary chair for the sixth-annual Purdue Challenge 5K Run/Walk Saturday at the north end of Ross-Ade Stadium. The event had a record number of participants, eclipsing the 2,000 mark for the second-straight year. It also raised a record $70,000, bringing its total since its inception in 2008 to over $300,000, and proceeds directly benefit Purdue's Center for Cancer Research. The event featured participation by several of Boilermaker teams, serving as the student-athletes' philanthropic project for the spring semester. Join Kerrigan For Golf The Ryan Kerrigan/12th Boiler Golf Outing is May 3 at the Ackerman Hills Course of the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex near Purdue's campus.
