Well I went down to my
local arena. Asked to see,
the manager man. He came
from his office and said,
"Son, can I help you?"
I looked at him and said,
"Yes you can."
We all know the words. We've all heard
them blared throughout nearly every
facility around the world (because really,
is there a more appropriate song for the
rink?). But with each press of the play
button on that Gear Daddies jam, there is
an element of law-abiding that is required.
While most rink managers are familiar
with the concept and rules of music
licensing at their facilities, few managers
likely understand the intricacies of
it. Because, believe it or not, there is
actually a lot more to know about music
licensing beyond the surface knowledge.
