What does this wonderful word victory
actually mean? Listen to this: Victory is
"the ultimate and decisive superiority in
any battle or contest." Another
definition is: "a success or triumph over
an enemy in battle or war."
There is victory in the New Birth. Let's
look at 1 John 5:4-5:
4 FOR WHATSOEVER IS BORN OF GOD
OVERCOMETH THE WORLD: AND THIS IS
THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMETH THE
WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH.
5 WHO IS HE THAT OVERCOMETH THE
WORLD, BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH THAT

says, "Death is swallowed up in
victory"—VICTORY OVER THE
GRAVE! God has given us the victory
OVER DEATH, OVER HELL and OVER
THE GRAVE!
How did He do that? JESUS, that's
how! Look at 2 Corinthians 2:14, and
shout again: "Now thanks be unto
God, which ALWAYS causeth us to
