can make plays and they were telling me how their system works, how they play their guards and how they run their offense." Iowa State, Oregon State, DePaul and Florida State are among those who've also offered. More are likely to come as Ulis has been outstanding in early tournaments this spring. Purdue hasn't offered Indianapolis' P.J. Thompson but has recruited the Brebeuf High School star for years and could move in that direction. Painter and his staff have heavily recruited Park Tudor forward Trevon Bluiett, a nationally recruited scorer who's been offered by Indiana, Butler, Illinois, Michigan, Louisville, UCLA and countless others. Bluiett has visited Purdue multiple times and maintained that the Boilermakers will factor into his recruitment. CLASS OF 2015 The point guard situation is an interesting one. If Purdue signs one in 2014, it may not in 2015. But for the time being, it has recruited guards heavily from the rising junior class. East Chicago's Hyron Edwards has an offer, along with those from IU, Illinois and others. Michigan and Michigan State, he said, will offer this summer and both will be major players for him. Chicagoans Jordan Ash and Glynn Watson hold offers extended long ago. Watson, the brother of former Illinois star Demetri McCamey, is a true point guard drawing interest from most of the Big Ten; Ash is an elite athlete capable of playing multiple positions. DePaul and Northwestern have also offered him early, with much more Big Ten interest, also. Both play for the Illinois Wolves AAU program Purdue signed Simpson and Stephens from. Purdue recently offered Kentucky's James Bolden, an emerging 6-2 point guard who was also offered by Xavier. All these guards will be highly recruited and will probably be ranked accordingly when the time comes. Purdue has also extended an offer to Florida sharp-shooter Matt Milon, who just picked up other offers from Virginia Tech and Rhode Island, as well, with more sure to come. Some other prospects Purdue has seriously recruited for 2015 include Davon Dillard, an extremely athletic forward from Bowman Academy in Northwest Indiana; Evan Boudreaux, a multi-skilled power forward-type from Lake For- est, Ill.; and Michael Benkert, an energetic swingman from Center Grove High School in Greenwood. CLASS OF 2016 It's obviously very early but there are some names to know already out there in the rising-sophomore class. Purdue has already offered Eron Gordon, the younger brother of NBA standout Eric Gordon, and is thought to be an early contender, along with IU and Butler, with national programs sure to get involved at some point. Gordon projects as an elite prospect. The Boilermaker coaches have recruited Fort Wayne big man Caleb Swanigan, a mountainous 6-6 post who may also be a big-time offensive tackle recruit in football, as well as Luers guard Vijay Blackmon. An interesting prospect might be right in Purdue's backyard, as West Lafayette High School guard Nai Carlisle is drawing attention. He's the son of Purdue sports performance director Duane Carlisle. j Ziccarelli Builders, Inc.
