Photos by Tom Campbell In what was a challenging year on a personal level with an illness to a member of her staff, Coach Sharon Versyp still managed to hoist another Big Ten Tournament trophy. It was the fourth in her seven years at Purdue and the second time she has won back-to-back Big Ten Tournament crowns. Drey Mingo's dominating title game performance (10-of-11 shooting, 24 points, eight rebounds, three blocks) against Michigan State solidified her Most Outstanding Player award in the Big Ten Tournament. Mingo capped her college career by being named honorable-mention All-American and hopes to continue playing professionally after being invited to Washington Mystics' training camp. Ronnie Johnson was a big part of the Boilermakers' late-season resurgence, using his speed and athleticism to make plays like this. In the Big Ten Tournament and CBI, he was Purdue's leading scorer, averaging 17 points. Gold & Black IllustrateD • volume 23, issue 5com
