LOW: The Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace has been owned and operated by Girl Scouts of the USA for more than 60 years, and is filled with rich stories, special collections, and opportunities for unique experiences reflecting the arc of Juliette Gordon Low's life. The Birthplace celebrates Juliette's belief in the potential of every girl, and the remarkable, global Girl Scout Movement she founded. SEE THE SYNAGOGUE: When Juliette Gordon Low assembled the first group of scouts in 1912, she asked four of her closest friends to help out as troop leaders. Three of them were members of Reform Temple Congregation Mickve Israel, the third-oldest synagogue in America, and the only remaining one built in the Gothic revival style. Today Mickve Israel's museum features a Girl Scout display and a collection of unique and historic artifacts.
