2020-21 SEASON SEASON PRIMER PRIMER MHJ // 2020-2021 MINNESOTA HOCKEY SEASON PRIMER 20 COACHES CORNER WE WANT YOU! Want to give back to the game you love? Care about the integrity of the game? Become an ice hockey official! The Minnesota Hockey Officials Association (MHOA) encourages individuals who are passionate about providing a great hockey experience to youth players to get and stay involved as an official. MHOA works with the USA Hockey Officiating Program to train hockey officials, promote uniformity of rules interpretation and maintain the highest standards of officiating across the state. Interested in becoming an official? Find out more at minnesotahockey.org/new-official. The USA Hockey Coach Education Program (CEP) will take on a new look for the 2020-21 season as Level 1-4 coaching certification clinics will be conducted virtually until it is deemed safe to host large group gatherings. Coaches seeking Level 1-3 certification may request a special temporary card that will provide a one-year certification or extension of their previous certification. All coaches must still complete the appropriate age-specific training modules for their age group. Age modules must be completed before taking the ice or being placed on a team roster. For more information on certification requirements or coaching resources, visit minnesotahockey.org/coaches. NEW!
