G E T S O C I A L W I T H N O R T H S H O R E @northshoremag C O R R E S P O N D E N C E LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Dear Nancy, What an honor for Uncommon Closet to receive the 2020 Editors' Choice BONS Award for Best Consignment Shop! We are so appreciative of Northshore magazine's endorsement and ongoing support, especially at this difficult time when so many non- profits are struggling. It's hard to believe that in just a few years, our social enterprise Uncommon Closet has expanded, gone through a complete renovation, launched an online store, and become "the place" to shop to give back. Uncommon Closet is an essential piece of funding for Uncommon Threads, since proceeds from all sales support the program, giving low-income women tools to build self-esteem and self-worth in a dignified and respectful " boutique" environment. Uncommon Closet is a treasure trove for shoppers looking for new and gently worn designer clothes, shoes, and bags at incredible prices as well as a "feel good" shopping experience. Time and again, Northshore magazine has demonstrated its commitment to women's issues by supporting Uncommon reads, including sponsoring the Dress to Impress Gala ( for the second year) on September 16. We are honored and grateful to have Northshore magazine by our side. Everyone at Uncommon reads, including the women we support, thanks you and the magazine from the bottom our hearts! With gratitude, Susan Kanoff, Executive Director/Founder Uncommon reads & Uncommon Closet Dear Susan, Congratulations to Uncommon Closet and your Dress to Impress Gala! We have been honored to support and partner with Uncommon Threads since its early days, and I have been fortunate enough to meet some of Uncommon Threads' clients and share their stories of success. The mission of Uncommon Threads has never wavered—empowering women and helping them feel worthy, strong, and beautiful . Thank you for supporting at- risk women in our community and across the commonwealth! My best, Nancy Berry Dear Nancy, ank you again for this honor—now six years in a row. We are honored and thrilled to have a great partner and resource with Northshore magazine. It has been a challenging 2020 across the board. is was a huge lift today. Much appreciation to you and the team! Tobin Dominick, Managing Partner Cape Ann's Marina Resort OCT 2020 Uncommon Threads
