W W W. D I S C O V E R I D A H O F A L L S . C O M | DISCOVER IDAHO FALLS 3 Welcome to Discover Idaho Falls! There is much to do and see here in our city, and now is the time to prepare to get out-and-about to experience the sights and sounds that Idaho Falls has to offer. While Idaho Falls is certainly feeling the effects of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, there is still much to do and see in our city. With miles of trails and parks, there is plenty of space to recreate while still maintaining health safety. During this pandemic it is more important than ever to get out and be healthy. That can be hard when we are social distancing, using face coverings and washing our hands more, but our parks and recreation staff have done a great job working to ensure we can still get out and enjoy Idaho Falls while maintaining healthy habits. One great way to enjoy the beauty of Idaho Falls is by spending time on one of our three municipal golf courses. The staff at Pinecrest, Sand Creek and Sage Lakes are diligently working to make sure golf carts are clean and sanitized and that everyone can get out and enjoy the links safely this summer. Tee times are easy to make and are arranged to help ensure proper social distancing on the fairways. People young and old will find something to entertain and delight at the "best little zoo in the west." Our ever- expanding and improving Idaho Falls Zoo has a very dedicated staff who have worked hard to make sure the zoo is clean and safe for all our guests. To help ensure proper social distancing and increase sanitization, the gift shop is closed for the season and there are guidelines in place to help patrons have a safe visit, but this hidden gem remains open. While we've worked hard to keep activities available, we've had to forego others for the sake of health and safety. One of our favorites, the War Bonnet Round Up, was one of those events the city was forced to postpone this year. An Idaho Falls tradition, the War Bonnet brings in some of the finest rodeo talent in the world. While we miss it this year, we are already planning for a great 2021 when the War Bonnet gets back on track! While COVID-19 has definitely changed the way we live and work and recreate, there are still many events and activities we can all enjoy. There is a little something for everyone and if we all do our part to practice social distancing, wear face coverings and practice good hand sanitization, we can all still get out and enjoy all the best that Idaho Falls has to offer. We hope to see you out on a trail or one of the parks this summer!
