It feels like everyone has been here. This place has so much history. The Village has been serving great food for many years. Many of the recipes are from the 1950s. Our clam chowder is made traditionally with salt pork and onions. It's amazing how simple, yet flavorful it is. Our breadcrumbs are still made with milk crackers (they are hard to find!). Our coleslaw is made with cabbage we freshly chop every day…it just has a different crunch. Our desserts have all been made in house by our baker, Greg, for the last 30 years. There is a dedication to craft here that is seldom seen. As the Village's new owners and managers, we have to carry on the tradition that began here over 60 years ago. That is to start with the best possible product and continue that great execution of preparation and cooking that the Village Restaurant has been known for. We want to keep things simple using fresh local seafood. We have the best clam flats in the country right outside our back door. Essex Seafood, our supplier of clams, operates a mile down the road. That clam isn't traveling very far before it gets to your plate! By staying true to these values and taking inspiration from our other restaurant, The Deck, we can't wait to see what's to come. We are currently open Thursday through Sunday from 12pm-8pm. We have indoor and outdoor dining and are still doing contact-free curbside pickup.
