8 POTATO GROWER | DECEMBER 2020 New Products Reinke-CropX Irrigation Scheduling Reinke Manufacturing and CropX announce a partnership to empower growers with the world's finest irrigation scheduling tools. Growers in more than 40 countries will be able to access soil health information that will allow them to improve yields, efficiencies and profitability. Specializing in advanced technology that provides recommendations on a variety of factors, CropX uses maps, aerial imagery, weather, modeling, user input and patented soil sensing technology to accurately predict outcomes. Earlier this year, CropX acquired CropMetrics, adding more than 500,000 acres of soil data to its farm management platform. Through the partnership, growers using both systems will have access to CropX's enhanced irrigation data-driven prescriptions that they can incorporate into their Reinke irrigation control systems. Growers with pivots using Reinke's ReinCloud application will see additional benefits by being able to remotely operate their irrigation while they manage CropX data through the integrated platform. Dynamic Systems SIMBA Lite Dynamic Systems, Inc., a software developer specializing in traceability and inventory systems for fresh food, has launched a new, low-cost version of its SIMBA system designed to give smaller produce growers/packers/shippers accessibility to the features of higher- level traceability and inventory systems. The SIMBA Lite system prints PTI- compliant serialized case and pallet labels in a batch format designed to make them easy to adhere to finished goods as they come off the pack line. The printed labels are recorded in the SIMBA database as inventory, with all specific characteristics of the product recorded to provide full traceability reports. Inventory is created as labels are printed, providing a perpetual in-stock inventory. When product is "shipped" from SIMBA, information is recorded, closing the traceability loop and allowing inventory in stock to be reduced. SIMBA Lite users can upgrade with the mobile application, SIMBA Logistics. Contact Dynamic Systems at www.dynamic-systemsinc.com.
