U.S. Ice Rinks Staff Works ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series Event in Las Vegas In October, John Monteleone, U.S. Ice Rinks Association Director of Education, served as the Chief Ice Technician on behalf of U.S. Figure Skating for the ISU 'Guaranteed Rate Skate America' Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series event held in Las Vegas at the Orleans Arena. This was a particularly challenging event due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Due to local government requirements, no spectators were allowed to attend, and all competitors, judges and event staff were confined to a 'Bubble' for the duration of the event. New Membership Benefit Added for Facility Members We have recently partnered with Marmak, a web-based recreation facility and municipal solutions provider, to make their Recreation Facility Asset Management (RFA M) software available exclusively to our facility members in the United States. The RFA M software package has six modules that are designed to help staff easily track and manage facility and equipment assets, automate the documentation of inspections and work orders, improve lifecycle planning and much more. New and Improved Online Member Portal Coming in December We are excited to announce that our new and improved online member portal will be ready to launch in December. Once the portal is live on usicerinks.com, individual members and staff from facility and vendor members will be able to log in to update their personal and company profile information, renew member- ships, register for events and courses, track their education history and progress toward one of our certifications and much more! Annual Meeting of the Members to be Held Virtually The 2020 U.S. Ice Rink Association annual meeting of the mem- bers will be held virtually on Dec. 16 instead of in-person due to the ongoing pandemic. The purpose of the meeting is to report on the operations and financial standing of the association. Mem- bers will receive an invitation to attend the meeting via email. CIT Class of 2015— Recertification Deadline Extended to 2021 Individuals that completed their CIT's in 2015 have been given an additional year to complete their CIT recertification exam. Individuals that com- pleted their CIT in 2016 are still expected to recertify in 2021.
