Dudley went on to have a stellar career with the UVA football program, capped by earning the 1941 Maxwell Award as the country's most outstanding player. Virginia fourth-year forward SAM HAUSER joined preseason ACC Player of the Year Gar- rison Brooks (North Carolina), Scottie Barnes (Florida State), Jalen Johnson (Duke), Aamir Simms (Clemson) and Chris Lykes (Miami) on the preseason All-ACC first team.
