(Brady) O'Donnell, 85, of Narragansett, formerly of Providence, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, o'donnell May 23, after a long illness. She was the devoted wife of Francis P. O'Donnell Sr., to whom she was married for 58 years. Born in New Brunswick, N.J., Kathryne was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ellen Brady. After the death of her mother shortly after her birth, Kathryne was raised by her cherished aunt, the late Julia A. Walsh. She was the sister of the late Joseph E. Brady and the late M. Dorothea Cotter. In addition to her husband she is survived by her six children, to whom she devoted her life: Frank O'Donnell and his wife Karen (DeAngelis) of North Providence, Maureen Pinksaw and her husband John of Middletown, James K. O'Donnell, Esq. and his wife Lucille (Hardiman) of North Kingstown, State Police Col. Steven G. O'Donnell and his wife Holly (Robert) of Smithfield, Thomas M. O'Donnell and his wife Katherine (Smith) of Coventry and Kathleen O'Donnell White and her husband William of South Kingstown. She was the proud "grandma" to 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Raised in Providence, Kathryne was a 1944 graduate of St. Patrick's High School and a 1948 graduate of the Rhode Island College of Education where she earned a teaching degree. Kathryne taught 1st grade in the Warwick Public Schools before she married in 1955. A lifelong teacher, Kathryne had a passion for helping others and always saw the best in everyone, no matter what. She was a faithful, passionate Catholic and communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and St. Veronica's/St. Thomas More churches. Relatives and friends were invited to a concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, May 29, in St. Veronica's Chapel, Narragansett. A Graveside burial was in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours were Tuesday, May 28, in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, North Kingstown. She leaves her two brothers, Phillip and Thomas Kamer; her sister, Anna Kamer; and several nieces and nephews. Robert W. Sanford, 82, of Walnut Hill Road, Woonsocket, died May 20. He leaves his wife, Lorraine (Perry) Sanford; three children, Colleen A. Sanford of Oakland, Calif., Kevin J. Sanford of Greenville and Sean J. Sanford of Lincoln; a brother, John Sanford; a sister, Kathleen Labossiere; and nine grandchildren. Marjorie M. "Marge" Gentile, 86, of Olympia Avenue, Woonsocket, died May 18. She leaves her husband, Lilio J.Gentile; a son, Dennis R. Gentile of Woonsocket; a brother, Harold Scott; and two granddaughters. Lucille Pinsonneault, 86, formerly of Gilbert Street, Woonsocket, died May 18. She was a daughter of the late William and Angelina (Boisell) Pinsonneault. She leaves a sister, Amy Bond, and several nieces and nephews and their families. Joseph B. Reynolds, 50, of Woonsocket, died May 18. He was the son of the late James Sr. and Alice (Hingley) Reynolds. He leaves his children, Kristania Reynolds and Shane Reynolds; two sisters, Janet A. Bedard and Joan M. Reynolds; and two brothers, Jeffrey C. Reynolds and John H. Reynolds. Rita J. Remy, 89, formerly of St. Paul Street, Woonsocket, died Sunday May 5. She was a daughter of the late Stanislaus and Azama (Charron) Remy. She leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
