3 things to do in:
BERLIN
Tiergarten
The locality, perhaps most famously known for
the 'Großer Tiergarten', Berlin's largest urban
park. Which itself is a wonderful place to walk,
relax and enjoying the beautiful foliage. The
area also houses the glorious old city entrance,
Brandenburg gate. As well as the Postdammer
Platz, A modern public square which acts as
a major transport hub and shopping centre.
These are just the highlights in an area which
boasts a number of old churches, government
nightlife
Berlin is renowned for its underground
parties and buzzing nightlife. Techno
still rules the cities clubs and parties and
our top spots to visit are Berghain and
Watergate. Although Berghain may be
hard to get in with their strict door policy
this converted power station is one of the
highlights of Berlin. Watergate is worldknown for their wall to wall LED lights with
a terrace overlooking the river and floorto-ceiling glass windows this is an epic
club that plays the very best in electronic
music. Home to other clubs such as Cookies and Weekend, and a whole of host of
bars and restaurants Berlin lives up to their pary hard reputation!
Checkpoint Charlie
The best known of the crossings
between East and West Berlin during
the Cold War, Checkpoint Charlie now
operates as a major tourist attraction
complete with museum about life
during a divided Germany. The crossing
became a symbol of the Iron curtain,
the divisions of western capitalism and
eastern communism and was the site for
a number of stand offs between the two
super powers. All that remains now is a
replica of the famous multi lingual sign
at the former border.
