I had an amazing mentor who taught me so much about wraps and just design in general. Since then, I have done nothing but work for wrap companies in Arizona and Colorado. What is it that you love most about working with wraps? Number of years you've been in the wrap business: I have been doing wraps since early 2007, and I have been the creative director for A&M Graphics for more than two years now. How did you get started, and what did you do before jumping into the wrap game? I went to school at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa, and majored in graphic design/interactive media. After graduating (and not finding a design job) I moved to Austin, Texas, where I worked for the American Achievement Corporation (publishers of Who's Who Among American 82 • Mid-June 2013 • S I G N SBGuide.indd 82 I love that it is a specialized industry; not just anyone can jump in and design an effective wrap. It is a giant canvas with a twist of difficulty that someone designing a billboard wouldn't have. What is the most important tip you would give a co-worker to ensure a successful wrap? Besides having the right tools, I think that part of the ability to design a wrap requires install knowledge.
