Matt Richart & Dallas Fowler Digital EFX Wraps Louisville, Ky. Number of years you've been in the wrap business: We started Digital EFX Wraps in 2004. Dallas and I started in the sign business in 1997. How did you get started, and what did you do before jumping into the wrap game? Dallas and I both come from a sign background. We have done everything from construction, selling outdoor lighting, banking, retail sales, and much more before beginning our sign/wrap careers. 90 • Mid-June 2013 • S I G N SBGuide.indd 90 We both had worked at other sign shops when we were younger and met at another sign shop back in 2001. The both of us decided to leave the company we were with to start a custom vehicle wrap shop. We opened shop in 2004 with one Roland printer and plotter in a 45' x 45' warehouse with no bathrooms. Nine years later we are in a 6,200 sq. ft. facility—with bathrooms. We began to see a shift in the vehicle wrap market that we wanted to be a part of. We thought if you wanted a sign, you should go to a sign shop. If you wanted a wrap, go to a wrap company. & D I G I TA L G R A P H I C S 5/31/13 12:28 PM
