SCORE Journal 75th Issue Milestones Over the past six years, SCORE Journal Magazine has become a leader in the digital publishing industry, focusing on SCORE International races, legendary and current racers, vintage and new race vehicles that have changed the industry, and much more. Since its inception in 2015, SCORE Journal has grown to reach over 2-million monthly unique readers in the English format, and more than 200K readers in the Spanish format. “The impact of reaching people digitally, especially through mobile devices, increased the reader/viewer base very fast,” says SCORE Marketing Manager, Jim Ryan. “SCORE Journal has reached far beyond the SCORE fan base and quickly attracted off-road enthusiasts and off-road racers globally who are now loyal readers.” The magazine content is created by four-time SCORE Journalist Of The Year, Dan Sanchez and his staff at DS Media LLC, while the graphics, digital processing, and digital distribution are done by Todd and Ashley Horne at DerDIZ Media Inc. But over the past 75 issues, many contributors have and continue to provide content for the publication. “SCORE Journal is proud to showcase the amazing photography of SCORE’s Official Photographer Art Eugenio and his crew at Get Some Photo,” said Sanchez. “They have contributed thousands of images over the past 75 issues and continue to amaze readers every month with their photography. Jack Wright at nMedia3 has also helped by providing all of the racer portrait images we’ve used since 2017, often setting up mini photo studios on-site during SCORE races to get as many racers photographed as possible. Because video is a huge part of the magazine’s engagement capabilities, BCII has also played a big role in SCORE Journal’s success, providing countless race highlight videos and action b-roll for many of the videos we create for interviews with racers and features.” SCORE International staff and management are also an integral part of SCORE Journal. “We also rely on the knowledge of SCORE’s staff for information, especially Dominic Clark, SCORE Media Operations, who provides us with a vast amount of history and knowledge on SCORE races and statistics,” says Sanchez. “We also rely on Christine Wait, Lawton Shank, and Audreonna Cuarez, who also provide vital information on racers and races when we need it. Most importantly, SCORE Journal would not be as successful without the direction of SCORE Marketing Manager Jim Ryan, who points us in the direction he believes the magazine should focus, and who has continually seeks to improve the magazine, and help our team innovate.” The monthly publication reached a milestone, with this April 2021 issue as its 75th to be published successfully. Over the past six years, SCORE Journal has featured many articles, videos, and some milestone moments that are worth revisiting. 2015 SCORE International publishes its first issue of SCORE Journal featuring Gus Vildosola on the cover as SCORE Person Of The Year in January of that year. 2016 SCORE International publishes SCORE Journal in Spanish for its Mexican audience.
