Texas Roadhouse hosts state, regional and national level competitions annually, with the top meat cutter taking home $20,000. Texas Roadhouse meat cutters pride themselves on high quality, hand- cut steaks and look at these competitions as a way to not only heighten individual performance, but also to recognize their employees for their professionalism and dedication to their skill. Being a Texas Roadhouse meat cutter is a way of life and they can cut 250–500 pounds of meat a day at their specific locations. How others have used it Jim Curley, General Manager of AZ Ice in the Phoenix area, has hosted this event for the past six years at his facilities. ICE RINKS, AS WE KNOW, ARE NATURAL COOLERS, AND A SHEET OF ICE ALLOWS 15 TO 25 MEAT CUTTERS THE ABILITY TO COMPETE SIDE BY SIDE IN A SIMILAR ENVIRONMENT THAT THEY ARE USED TO WORKING IN.
