Rescued And Restored feature 24 Houseboatmagazine.com Daniel Pitman's is a love story, not much differ- ent from those of many Houseboat readers. Born and raised in Brentwood, Tenn., much of Pitman's family time was spent boating at lakes surround- ing his hometown. He enjoyed being out on the water, but never felt compelled to buy a boat of his own until about two years ago. A friend of Pitman's took him and some others out to Percy Priest Lake, just 10 miles outside of Nashville, Tenn., for the July 4 weekend. One eve- ning, he accepted an offer to watch the sun set on the lake from the top of the houseboat, and, in his words, "I fell in love."
