Scotty, who regularly tells the boss he can't have what
he wants (typically, "more power"). And then he goes
ahead and does it anyway. Bosses appreciate people
who pull the rabbit out of the hat even when the hat
seems empty.
Ignore tech when you need to
The Enterprise has every technological gadget you can
imagine. But Kirk often turns away from it all and goes
by his gut when the going gets tough. Make decisions
based on your intelligence, skill and intuition.
Don't ask your colleagues to do what you wouldn't
do
When things get rough, Kirk is the first to head down
to the enemy planet for a risky away-mission. When
you're supervising others, make sure you don't ask
them to do anything you wouldn't do.
