AEC Program

202 1 AEC PROGRAM 6 WELCOME FROM THE USEA Welcome to the 2021 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds ® . We can't describe how happy we are to welcome you to the 2021 championships! Through the COVID-19 pandemic we have all been waiting for some return to normalcy and holding the AEC is another step in that direction. It will be a welcome sight after the cancellation of the 2020 AEC and the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event run without spectators. We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding the cancellation of the AEC in 2020. Through the leadership of our amazing organizing team lead by Equestrian Events, Inc. and Mary Fike and our USEA staff we have been preparing for this for the past two years. Enormous thanks also to our volunteers and supporters. You all deserve recognition for making this possible! While we know this year will still be a little bit different as we continue to do everything possible to stop the spread of COVID-19, we still want you to feel like you are at a championship competition. We hope you notice the little things that our organizing team and our sponsors have done to make this year so special. We also appreciate all those who have worked hard to prevent the spread of this disease, especially our medical health providers, and everyone who has been able to be vaccinated. Speaking of our sponsors, we will once again feature the $60,000 Adequan ® USEA Advanced Final! There is a fantastic lineup of riders and horses contesting that prestigious prize. We are also joined once again by another long-time partner, our Presenting Sponsor, Nutrena ® . Due to the economic slowdown caused by COVID-19, we knew that it was going to be more difficult for many of our sponsors to join us in 2021, so it is even more important for you to help us show our appreciation to all our sponsors. Every dollar of the prize money and every prize is provided by these sponsors. Please help us by supporting these companies in return. A full list of our sponsors is available in this program. As always, thank you for taking your time, money, and effort to not only compete at the AEC but more importantly to qualify at over 240 recognized events in the United States! Also, enormous thanks to the volunteers and our officials at all these competitions. The sport of eventing would not be possible without them. Please take a minute to thank them personally this week. Please care for your horses first, ride safely, and have a fantastic competition! Max Corcoran, USEA President Rob Burk, USEA CEO
