Here are our key takeaways from the challenge:
› › This topic resonated with a lot of people. More than 140 employees participated in
the challenge!
› › We asked employees to keep track of how often they moved their wristband to the
opposite wrist. Of those who shared their tracking with us, 62.50% saw a decrease
in non-sorry apologies. Their number of apologies was higher during the first half
of the month (October 1 – October 16) compared to the second half of the month
(October 17 – October 31).
› › Employees who formally tracked their progress apologized for non-sorry offenses an
average of 30 times over the 31-day period.
› › Participants appreciated having the wristband as a reminder! We received feedback that
this challenge helped participants be more aware of when and why they were apologizing.

Our Sorry, Not Sorry Challenge
To help our employees lessen their apologies for the non-sorry offenses, the
SEI Women's Network launched the Sorry, Not Sorry Challenge. During the
31-day challenge, participants wore a wristband with "Sorry, Not Sorry" on it.
Anytime they said "I'm sorry" for a non-sorry offense, they would move their
wristband to the other wrist.
