Life at work and at home has changed drastically for so many of
us since the onset of COVID-19. Many of us are 9+ months into
working from home, and all of us are facing unique challenges.
Whether you are alone at home and combating feelings of
isolation, you are a parent juggling virtual schooling and working
from home or you are working side by side with a spouse/partner
who was never supposed to be a colleague, you're probably still
finding your groove. Every day we're still learning how to not just
survive, but thrive, if possible, in our new normal environment.
We're handling curveballs, coming up with new life hacks and
establishing an entirely different definition for "normalcy."
Throughout the last nine months, dozens of questions
have arisen, often in the format of,
How might I _________
in a remote environment?
In this Q&A, I'm sharing thoughts on
five of the most important variations of
that question that I've heard (or have
personally been asking) along with some
advice. And don't just take it from me—
I've also included tips and advice from a
few colleagues.
