This exhibition covers Moore's career from some of his earliest works to his very last. It is not thematic but each work has been selected either from our collection at the gallery or from amongst the works I have handled over four decades as a Moore dealer. Lenders have been very patient and I am so grateful to all of them, in particular one owner whose Moore collection I have been working on for over 25 years. He has generously lent some of his rare early sculptures. We have assembled a remarkable collection and I am profoundly grateful to my colleague Tania Sutton who has curated the exhibition, to art historian Judith LeGrove who has done much of the writing and to Stuart Hillcock at Footprint who has designed and printed this catalogue. Also to Nick Moss from Todd White Photography for some excellent work at short notice. In a gallery size exhibition we could not hope to cover Moore's career in depth but in our selection from 60 years of the artist's sculpture and drawing we have set out to celebrate the scope and range of his extraordinary creativity.
