CIT Classes of 2020 and
2021: It's time to recertify!
All Certified Ice Technicians (CIT) expir-
ing in 2021 must complete a CIT Recer-
tification (CITR) exam by the end of the
year to remain current. Due to suspending
in-person courses and exam opportunities in 2020, and limited
2021 exam locations, we are now offering an online exam option
that provides the opportunity for CIT's to self-study and write the
CITR exam utilizing an online proctor each month.
Those seeking CIT recertification must maintain an annual
membership (Individual, Facility, or Vendor) with the United States
Ice Rink Association to keep their professional certification valid.
Available exam dates can be found at
usicerinks.com under
the 'Education' tab followed by the 'Locations/Registration' tab.

Supporting Regional
and Professional Rink
Management Associations
U.S. Ice Rinks staff traveled to Las Vegas,
Nevada, in August to assist the Facility Operations Managers
Association (FOMA) in the production of their annual conference.
FOMA is a non-profit membership association for individuals that
work in the operations departments of National Hockey League
arenas and their affiliated minor league team arenas. To learn
more about FOMA, visit
fomassociation.com.
U.S. Ice Rinks staff also participated in the Min-
nesota Ice Arena Managers Association (MIA MA)
from September 7-10, as a sponsor, exhibitor,
and education provider. U.S. Ice Rinks held an
Ice Making and Painting Technologies (IMPT)
course for attendees during their conference. For
more information about MIA MA, visit them at
