• 11 • Writing this on the heels of what was arguably one of the best TEVA Sumer Symposium Conferences we've had! While I didn't sit in on many of the CE lectures, I heard numerous positive comments on the speakers and the program! e Horseshoe Bay Resort, though understaffed, helped as much as they could and the food was pretty good throughout! Golf and fishing were fun for those that participated. e meetings were lively and the lunch presentations gave great insight into where our TEVA organization is heading. e Friday night Foundation Gala was nothing short of awesome-spirited and energetic and thanks to all who participated at any level, whether you bought Wine Pull tickets, a silent auction item or stepped up to take a live auction item home, "thank you"! We raised over $92,000 at a time when the Foundation needed funding to continue existing programs and expand what we need—more scholarships, more help when needed, further reach to support our industry and TEVA members! ere are too many people to thank, but I'll start with Sara Green and Blaine Fisher on the TEVA staff —awesome job ladies! at's more work than most realize and you make it look easy…a special thanks to you both! Dr. John Janicek, thanks for putting together such an informative program. And to Dr. JoLynn Joyce and the TEVA Board for tremendous leadership throughout the year! We will need to continue that energy and commitment as we head to Fort Worth next year! To the many vendors who showed up eager to be seen and connect with TEVA members, thanks for your continued participation and support of our organization! ank you to Dr. David Stephens and everyone on the auction committee—great job! Dr. Stephens, your energy and passion for supporting young veterinarians and TEVA is contagious, and an example to us all! To Dr. Bruce Buenger, a great job and huge THANK YOU for hosting the Wine Pull! To Ed Strickland and MWI for the rifle and pistol raffle! To auctioneer Davin Smith, and to Dr. Chris Ray and Dr. Bo Brock—awesome job emceeing the Foundation Gala Auction and keeping everyone on point! A special credit to Dr. Brock—great vision and imagination with that rooster named Pistol Pete, who'd of thought! ank you for your optimism and inventiveness! I have to stop, but there's so many more who deserve recognition – you all have our thanks and appreciation! At the end of the day it was a successful meeting on many levels, and if you were there thank you for your participation! As we begin to think about the 2022 Symposium we hope to build on the momentum gained this year- we hope to see you all in Fort Worth! Maybe next year can be even bigger and better!
