George Crapo, CEO of SunGlo of Idaho, poises in the busy SunGlo warehouse, an example of how modern technology is inte- grated into the potato industry. he didn’t buy one then, he never would. Since then, he and his wife have purchased Linda a new Harley trike, and they’ve gone on many enjoyable road trips. “I wish I would’ve have had time to do it earlier, but earlier I didn’t have time,” he says, when he had young children at home. “If you’re not working you need to be with your kids.” But as long as he feels good, he says, he hopes there will always be a place on the farm for him. “I love to operate equipment,” he says. “If I can’t figure anything else, I’ll find a project for the backhoe. My favorite thing on a Saturday when you don’t have any help around is to go get in a tractor. “I would like to shed a lot of the responsibilities and worries, but I would love to help as long as I feel like it and can do it. A lot of people say, ‘Boy, I’m done. I’m going to Arizona in the winter.’ I have no desire whatsoever to do that, unless I can take my Harley and ride! “Keeping busy seems to help maintain your health.
