USPB Work Done with Mexico, 2010 FEBRUARY Healthy potato PR was featured in the Mexican media, with 11 pick-ups of information about potato nutrition in different print and website media. These pick- ups were made by Cocina Estrella magazine, Kena magazine, Pasion por la Cocina magazine, El Informador newspaper, Cocina Especial magazine and the Cocina Especial website (six pick-ups). Mexican media contacts were provided with one press release from the USPB, named, “How to prepare potatoes for not gaining weight.” Press releases are distributed to the Mexican media electronically as newsletters, in order to reach a higher number of contacts. APRIL–MAY The USPB Mexican representative worked with the second-largest supermarket “I think it’s important that growers and the state groups such as the IGSA and IPC continue to support the council in their efforts to gain access,” he says.
