The 3600 Series Pulvi-Mulcher from Brillion features wider working widths, increased trash clearance and reduced downtime in the field. The series is available in 21', 25', 30' and 36' working widths. The 30' model weighs 80% more than the popular WL360 for more clod crushing power. The 36' unit is the widest Pulvi- Mulcher offered by Brillion. All 3600 Series models feature 8" roller axles with heavy-duty bearings that improve reliability and reduce maintenance interruptions in the field. The design includes three rows of two-piece edge bent s-tines on overall 6" spacing. 25" of under frame clearance improves trash flow through the machine. A leveling harrow in front of the rear roller helps level ridges left by the shanks. New to the 3631 series is the 24" Notched Ductile Iron wheel to provide even more clod crushing power with its heavy weight. Amalgamated Sugar Company Growers in Idaho and eastern Oregon have seen an increase in disease pressure, and SESVanderHave is now selecting hybrids that balance traits such as rhizomania, Rhizoctonia, Cercospora, Aphanomyces and of course curly top. Pairing these disease traits with yield and sugar traits creates stable varieties that are widely adapted for the Idaho grower. SV183N has been well-received by growers in the nematode segment of Amalgamated's growing region; SV182 is performing very well for growers in non-nematode conditions. SV099N has proven to be very stable, with great sugar and high yield numbers, and tolerates rhizomania, Rhizoctonia, Aphanomyces, Cercospora, nematode, root aphid and much more. The broad range of genetic diversity has demonstrated SV genetics can perform at a high level and deliver traits to fill the needs of Amalgamated growers. Western Sugar North Western Sugar North-approved variety SV1781N has excellent tolerance to curly top, nematode and root aphid, moderate tolerance to Ccercospora, Fusarium and Aphanomyces. It is a well-balanced variety that carries an excellent amount of sugar per acre to round it off. SV1782N adds good Aphanomyces and Cercospora tolerance to the sweet genetic package. SV1794N is new to lineup, with very good sugar per ton along with a balanced disease package. Western Sugar does an excellent job screening hybrids, approving only high-performing hybrids for Western North growers. Western Sugar South SV1686N is a sweet, high-yielding hybrid that delivers a balanced disease package of nematode, curly top, Cercospora and root aphid protection. SV1699N is in its third year of testing, showing excellent sugar per ton with a good disease package. SESVanderHave continues improving and strives to provide hybrids that produce for Western South growers. Wyoming Sugar SV1361N is a strong rhizomania and nematode product with moderate Fusarium tolerance and great adaptability to a variety of conditions. SV3303N is a second-year variety with great potential; its high yield ranks fourth in revenue per acre, pending approval. Lantic Sugar SV575, strong in Rhizoctonia/ rhizomania and has a nice balance in yield and sugar. It carries a lot of the genetics that have brought success to many areas in the U.S., and Alberta growers are excited about its potential there. SV586 is on track for full approval, providing great nematode protection. n
