GRIJALVA ® SCORE 2021 AWARDS NIGHT 3 SCORE WELCOME LETTER Dear SCORE Racing Family, Welcome to the annual SCORE Awards Night, being presented for the second time virtually because of the pandemic protocols. We are honoring the accomplishments of the 2021 SCORE World Desert Championship. Congratulations to every one of you and please accept a huge thank you from everyone at SCORE International. On behalf of nearly 300 SCORE race officials, staff and volunteers, we are proud to welcome all of you. We also want to sincerely acknowledge the support, assistance and sacrifices made by family members, friends and sponsors--because without their support, your accomplishments in the series would not have been possible. Becoming a SCORE overall or class champion, or winning a coveted SCORE Off-Roadsman Award or Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Award, presented by VP Racing Fuels, are all achievements of the highest degree. For many of you tonight, we will honor your first recognition of this type. For others, we are once again honored to present you with one or more of these well-earned tributes to your many talents. After 2,366.55 dusty miles of rugged SCORE desert racing we salute your accomplishments tonight. We would especially like to thank all of the Mexican officials, dignitaries, ejidos private land owners and the thousands of local fans for their amazing continued support of SCORE International. Their tremendous assistance and valued friendship for over four decades has helped SCORE maintain its place as the World's Foremost Desert Racing Organization. Our television coverage on World of X Games on ESPN2 and our contract with ESPN International continue to create an even greater domestic and international presence for our SCORE World Desert Championship. Through the creative production talents of award-winning BCII TV, we continue to have the most extensive coverage SCORE has ever had. The SCORE Journal, our amazing online digital magazine of the SCORE World Desert Championship has completed seven successful years. With the SCORE Journal, Vol. 8, No. 1 currently available on the SCORE website, our unique readership total has grown to over 2-million worldwide per issue. The SCORE Journal is also available each month in Spanish. We salute one company in particular from our long-time SCORE sponsor family—BFGoodrich Tires on 45 years of racing and partnering with SCORE. These family members have helped SCORE build on its solid foundation. It is good to know as we enjoy this time of remembrance, reflection and renewal, that the legend of SCORE continues to grow well beyond its beginnings in 1973 as a racing organization along with celebrating the 55th annual running for the Baja 1000 and 54th Baja 500..
