Bang FM is a community radio station based in Harlesden north-west London. It specialises in a huge range of genres such as UK and US hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, bashment, reggae, soca, grime, garage, house and gospel music. They're currently in the process of expanding themselves in order to reach out to a wider audience by introducing the Bang Academy and Bang Entertainment. community radio station they have a large general following and some big name fans of the station, having interviewed the likes of J Spades, Big Narstie, Cashtastic, Jaja Soze, Alexis Jordan and many more. Slap-bang in the middle of Camden markets, it's hard not to admire the visual layout and its location in one of London's most diverse and interesting cultural locations. Hosting events at least three times a week, there's always something interesting going on at Plastic People. The genre tends to depend on who is playing but that's not always a bad thing. With so much to choose from it's easy to overlook the talented DJs that play sets there week in and week out. DRINKS Fitted with a roof terrace for your relaxing pleasure, the Proud Camden bar has recently received a new lick of stylish paint. Opening times depend on whether the sun is shining, but once open you can enjoy the cheapest Pimms in Camden or 2 Becks for £6! VIBES Proud Camden are constantly inventing new events and hosting massive parties that are inhabited of course by the strange, weird and wonderful people of Camden. How could the vibes not be good in a place that is proud to be different edgy? DRINKS At the bar there is a selection of the usual beers and at least one version of every spirit available. It is generally £4 a drink with a 40 pence charge for using a card. There is definitely room for improvement here but if the music is sick then you probably won't care too much. VIBES Mostly positive things are said about the vibe at Plastic People. If the tunes are good then the atmosphere usually follows. However, some people think the venue could be bigger and it would be sweet if the drinks were a bit more varied and interesting. Bromance's best known signings include Gesaffelstein, Louisahhh!!!, Jacques Lu Cont, and Club Cheval. Although their deep, French techno sounds may not be destined for the same mainstream success that a lot of dance music has found recently, their live shows and sets must be seen to be believed. With the team currently touring various locations across the globe, make sure you check them out if you get a chance. In London Brodinski's all-night set at The Nest on June 14th was hot. Jacques Lu Cont, Louisahhh!!! and Gesaffelstein have loads of dates all over America this summer, and if you're in Ibiza this season you can catch Brodinski and Gesaffelstein playing Carl Cox's birthday at Space on July 30th. A good place to start exploring the Bromance sound is with Brodinski and Louisahhh!!!'s hour long mix for Mixmag; a free download which has proved to be very popular across the internet.
