MESSAGE FROM THE Point
We hope everyone is doing well as we finally transition into some nice weather. From
the sound of things, everyone has had a productive winter so far! Let's all hope this trend
continues throughout the year. The TEVA board of directors has been busy planning for
2022 to provide the best equine continuing education for our members.
The boutique meeting entitled "Next Level Lameness" is scheduled for June 9-10, 2022,
to be held at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center in College Station, Texas.
If you like smaller crowds and more focused meetings, this one is for you. Dr. Phillipe
Benoit, DVM, DACVSMR, will be lecturing on lameness and sports medicine. Limited
spots are available, so do not delay on registering. Platinum Practice sponsors will receive
a free meeting registration code.
The 2022 TEVA Summer Symposium will be held in Fort Worth at the Worthington
Renaissance Hotel amid popular downtown attractions from August 4-6th. The 2022
Summer Symposium will be a wet lab-based meeting held at Will Rogers Memorial
Center, so be ready for some excellent hand-on continuing education. We are seeking
members that would like to get more involved in TEVA as extra helpers to the different
labs. Please let Sara Green or any board member know if you are willing to help. Thank
you in advance.
If you have any interest in being on a committee for TEVA, please contact any of the board of directors or Sara Green directly (sara@
texasequineva.com). There is also a list of committees on the TEVA website (www.texasequineva.com); go to the home page, click
on "membership," and select "join a committee." It is that simple to get involved.
Lastly, do not forget to renew you membership and encourage you colleagues to become members and/or renew their membership.
DR. JOHN JANICEK
