44 SPRING 2022 A T THE END OF 2018, DESIGNER ANITA CLARK RECEIVED a "call out of the blue" from the new owners of a spectacular oceanfront property in the exclusive Little's Point neighborhood in Swampscott. "I've looked at all the websites of all the interior designers on the North Shore of Boston," the homeowner says. "You're the only one we want to work with on the renovation of our new home." Clark was happy to take the job. A native of Texas, she's been living in Swampscott since relocating to the Northeast 35 years ago, and Little's Point is one of her favorite sections of town. "The new owners were from here originally; they'd been living in New York City, and they were moving back," she says. "They wanted to make the space more conducive to family living." Aside from its optimal seaside location, Clark says she was intrigued by the home itself, in which she saw plenty of potential when she looked beyond its original "odd design." inspire Enhancing the flow from kitchen to breakfast nook to great room created an open, airy family space and optimized the home's extraordinary views. northshoremag.com/nshorehome/
