Alive After 5 starts up in late May at Civitan Plaza (Park Ave. and B Street). Come downtown and enjoy food vendors, live music and a variety of cold beverages by the Civitans every Wednesday, May through September. Idaho Falls Farmers Market www.idahofallsfarmersmarket.org Every Saturday morning from May through October, locals get together to put on the Idaho Falls Farmers Market. This market features fresh produce, nursery stock, specialty foods, baked goods and handmade crafts. Outdoor Concerts There are two weekly evening concert series that run throughout most of the summer: The Bank of Idaho River Concert Series on Tuesdays at the River Walk Stage (right off Memorial Drive), and the Live United Concert Series, held Thursdays at Snake River Landing. Bank of Idaho River Concert Series www.idahofallsarts.org/snake-river-concert-series Live United Concert Series www.snakeriverlanding.com August 4-6 War Bonnet Roundup www.warbonnetroundup.org Since 1911, the War Bonnet Roundup has captivated audiences with top-tier competition, featuring classic contests including bull riding, barrel racing and calf-roping. The three-day celebration showcases 300-plus competitors at Sandy Downs. August 11-13 Roaring Youth Jam www.artitoriumonbroadway.org/youthjam Put on by the Idaho Falls Arts Council, this youth-geared event has activities and art projects for kids of all ages to try. In addition to presenting a plethora of entertainers, the Roaring Youth Jam plays host to a local Battle of the Bands. August 13 Snake River Greenbelt Duck Race www.duckrace.com/idahofalls Thousands of little yellow rubber duckies race down a section of the Snake River in the hope of winning prizes for their "owners." In addition to the duck race, the day includes a car show, a military display, a photo show, craft and food vendors and more—it's a quackin' good time. September 17 Idaho Annual Spud Day www.idahospudday.com Spud Day has been kicking off the spud harvest for the past 93 years—long enough to work out the perfect formula of fun. From the Miss Russet pageant to the famous Spud Tug, Spud Day has something for all ages, including free baked potatoes at noon. ›››
