Since Franklin's first full recruiting cycle in 2015, the Nittany Lions have landed 14 April commitments. Even with visits curtailed the past two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been one of the staff's most pro- ductive months. This year, the Nittany Lions saw four new players join the class in April, two of whom committed right around Blue-White weekend: On3 four-star defensive end Jameial Lyons of Phila- delphia, and three-star safety Conrad Hussey of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Lyons, who is ranked 50th nationally among defensive tackles and eighth overall in Pennsylvania, announced for PSU on April 22. Three days later, Hussey did likewise. Hussey is the No. 37 safety according to On3 and the No. 70 pros- pect in Florida. As BWI previously reported, Penn State flipped Milton (Mass.) Academy tight end Andrew Rappleyea from Michigan and secured his commitment on April 3. He was quickly followed by Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) Nease quar- terback Marcus Stokes on April 8. Beyond the two newest commit- ments, there was a lot to unpack com- ing out of Blue-White weekend.
