welcome Welcome to ILTA’s 33rd annual educational conference. I am Maureen Babcock, legal technologist. And I am Meredith Williams, attorney. As conference co- chairs, we are honored to be part of a large team of volunteers who have put together an amazing lineup of legal technology education. Our theme this year is “Strategic Unity.” As we experienced how our own technological and legal viewpoints enhanced the strategic planning for conference overall, we saw the value of extending that vision to the planning of the educational program, as well as to the content of the sessions themselves. Law firms, law departments and law practices need to integrate their use of technology in new and unique ways in order to survive and thrive in this new decade. To deliver sessions on just how this might be accomplished became our goal. We sought out both technologists and attorneys to help us deliver an educational program which we believe will demonstrate the benefits of strategic unity in almost everything you experience this week. You can expect four days filled with over 160 sessions. We have over 300 speakers, with 70% of those coming from ILTA member ranks, and 30% from 4 ILTA 2010 Program Guide our vendor partners. Use our session search either on the conference website or via our new mobile to review session descriptions and add the ones you choose wirelessly to your calendar. Make sure you check out the hands on sessions in ILTA U –– it’s not just for techies anymore! Law2020™, ILTA’s multi-year, multi-platform educational programming initiative focuses specifically on strategic unity. Sessions center on the skills, leadership and technologies that will allow firms to harvest real growth from our changing economic environment.
