The Facility Bus Tour, for example, proved a great way
to get a first-hand look at what others are doing–and discuss
observations with each other! A perennial sellout, this year was
no exception, ultimately requiring two buses. Stops included
Longevity Sports Center, Las Vegas Sports Park,
Las Vegas Indoor Sports Center, Big League
Dreams Sports Park and The Sports Center of
Las Vegas, plus lunch at Kerry Simon's Burger Joint on the
Las Vegas Strip.
Members and other attendees also got directly involved leading
Core Education Sessions specially designed for owners,
managers and staff, as well as startups. Many sessions actually
overflowed with those eager to learn from one another, requiring
expanded seating.
One last opportunity to exchange business cards was the pool
party Thursday evening at "The Pond." The social event was
included in most registrations and attracted most conference
attendees, many of whom clearly enjoy a philosophy of "Work
hard, play hard."
