The Grand Marshal Curt LeDuc The Veteran SCORE Champion To Serve As Grand Marshal SCORE Trophy Truck Champion and Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Inductee, Curt LeDuc is the Grand Marshal for the 3rd SCORE Baja 400 Presented by VP Racing Fuels. LeDuc is one of the iconic veterans of the sport of off-road racing who started his career building roll cages and brush guards for Jeep enthusiasts in the 1970’s. His work eventually evolved into a four-wheel drive shop and he began racing to get more business. After becoming known for racing straight-axle 4x4 Jeeps in short course tracks, he caught the attention of Walker Evans who then had LeDuc working his pits and on race vehicles. LeDuc wasn’t content wrenching for Evans and wanted to drive the Class 8 vehicles. When the offer from Evans eventually came with a one-year deal, LeDuc passed it for a three-year deal driving a new SCORE Trophy Truck, offered by Clive Skilton, owner of Donavee Jeep. The choice made LeDuc a success winning numerous races including the SCORE Baja 500. In 1997, LeDuc became a SCORE Trophy Truck Champion and went on to win more races. LeDuc’s son Kyle, was also inspired by his dad to enter into racing and become a short course champion and SCORE Trophy Truck racer, along with son Todd, who has made a huge impact on the Monster Truck world tour. Curt LeDuc continues to make his presence in the off-road industry, especially with his annual Curt LeDuc Off-Road Swap Meet, a place where budget-minded racers could buy and sell used parts and vehicles to keep their racing efforts going strong. Most recently he was part of the Ford Performance Bronco R Prototype racing team, as one of the drivers that helped test and race the vehicle to the finish at the 2020 SCORE Baja 1000. “Curt LeDuc is one of the most accomplished racers who has not only made a name for himself as a SCORE Champion, but as a person who does a lot for the sport and support of other racers,” says Jim Ryan SCORE VP of Marketing. “Because of his ongoing efforts in supporting Baja racers, we asked LeDuc to be this year’s Grand Marshal and he graciously accepted.” SJ
