Defending Champs, Tw SIDEKICKS Prevail in Battle of Defending Champs Tatu's 2-point goal with 0.8 seconds secures 14-13 victory. ndoor soccer legend, Tatu, powered the Dallas Sidekicks past the defending 2002 Major Indoor Soccer League Champion Philadelphia KiXX with a hattrick on the League's opening night on September 28th in Dallas. Tatu's game-winning goal came with the Sidekicks trailing, 13-12, after Philadelphia forward Goran Vasic connected on a 2point strike at 8:11 of the fourth quarter to give the KiXX a onepoint advantage. Philadelphia enjoyed leads of 2-0, 5-2, and 9-4 during the game before the Sidekicks rallied with a 8-2 second half run to hold a 12-11 edge prior to Vasic's goal. "When it went in," said Tatu, "I I looked at the referee, and he had his hands up… I looked up at the scoreboard, and there were still a few numbers left, so I said, 'I guess it counts.'" Philadelphia KiXX Head Coach Omid Namazi remarked, "You've got to give credit to Dallas. They worked hard until the end and came up with their first win… We were unfortunate not to be on the winning side. It's not the way we wanted to start the season…, but with our own home opener ahead, we have a chance to turn it around quickly." For his seven-point outburst and late-game heroics, Tatu was named the MISL Offensive Player of the Week.
