Several students and teachers at St. Catherine of Siena School in Denver were recently honored for their achievements in the Zaner-Bloser Penmanship Contest covering the states of Colorado and Wyoming. Four first-place students received medallions and fun writing instruments; two teachers were awarded "diamond" paperweights and $200 in penmanship supplies; and the school received a trophy and $400 in penmanship supplies. VINCENT de Paul School in Denver has become a new host site for Girls on the Run, a national nonprofit organization that aims to empower young girls through the sport of running. The school's inaugural spring season drew more than 20 participants in third through fifth grades. About 200 parents, alumni and friends of Regis Jesuit gathered to celebrate the $13.2 million, 40,000-squarefoot facility that will house a 490-seat theater, instrumental and choral classrooms, college and career counseling center, student communications center, the school's alumni and communications offices and school spirit PHOTO PROVIDED shop, and a snack bar.
