They want to learn more about where their food comes from and the farmers who produce it. Your social media posts don't need to be perfect; they just need to come from the heart. We can't successfully share what we know until we first show how much we care. National Ag Day's website, agday. org, has many other great suggestions for how to get involved and be part of the celebration. These include attending an ag-related event and supporting 4-H and FFA in your area. Research important agricultural issues affecting your region and learn more about your family and community's ag heritage. The ACA suggests hosting visitors to your farm or coordinating with a local elementary school to teach an agricultural lesson. Zoom and other web conferencing platforms make joining the classroom easier than ever before. Agriculture has come a long way since National Ag Day kicked off in 1973. Over the past 50 years, tremendous advances have been made in machinery, farming practices and sustainability.
