facility is designed to be multi-purpose and as such has flexibility to host a variety of different event and sport setups." Opportunities on ice Though the main arena can be easily con- verted to ice, many of the facility's skat- ing programs and events will take place within Ford Ice Center Clarksville, which soft opened in April 2023. Ford Ice Center Clarksville is the Predators' third ice arena, but its first single-sheet facility. It can seat 300, and contains four locker rooms. Just like the other Predators' facilities in Bellevue and Antioch, Ford Ice Center Clarksville will offer Learn to Skate programs, the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy, public skate events and much more. Though still in its infancy, Franklin sees huge potential in welcoming indi- viduals of all ages and abilities to the rink. "We'll have youth leag ues, adult leagues, general hockey classes, and even curling," Franklin said. "We also want to focus on a lot of women's pro- grams as well. We eventually want to be very self-sustaining in that Montgomery County has everything that Nashville is already offering." Elevating the experience Inside F&M Bank Arena, guests will notice unique features that Franklin believes will help enhance their experience. "Throughout the arena and rink, we'll have color-coded walls," Franklin said. "For example, gold walls are ways of travel, such as elevators or stairs. The rust color will be for facilities and restrooms, and blue is for retail, food and beverage." F&M Bank Arena will offer convenient grab-and-go food options. Guests can also experience the facility's "super suite," which is about 1,000 square feet and can be brought down into three smaller suites. Those suites can be accessed at grade level, along with the concourse and event levels. "Our facility is built on a hill, offering a unique ability to enter at grade on every level of the facility," Franklin said. "IT'S SO REWARDING TO HAVE THIS BE A PART OF THE COMMUNITY. I NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO A POTENTIAL CONCERT OR HAVE THE CHANCE TO REALLY PLAY HOCKEY GROWING UP." USICERINKS.COM MAY.JUNE.2023 / 23
