11 [WE PRAY] THAT YOU MAY BE
INVIGORATED AND STRENGTHENED
WITH ALL POWER ACCORDING TO THE
MIGHT OF HIS GLORY, [TO EXERCISE]
EVERY KIND OF ENDURANCE AND
PATIENCE (PERSEVERANCE AND
FORBEARANCE) WITH JOY,
12 GIVING THANKS TO THE FATHER,
WHO HAS QUALIFIED AND MADE US FIT
TO SHARE THE PORTION WHICH IS THE
INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS (GOD'S
HOLY PEOPLE) IN THE LIGHT.
13 [THE FATHER] HAS DELIVERED AND
DRAWN US TO HIMSELF OUT OF THE
CONTROL AND THE DOMINION OF
DARKNESS AND HAS TRANSFERRED US
INTO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF HIS
LOVE,
14 IN WHOM WE HAVE OUR
REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD,
[WHICH MEANS] THE FORGIVENESS OF
OUR SINS.
HIM] MAY NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE
ETERNAL LIFE AND [ACTUALLY] LIVE
FOREVER!
16 FOR GOD SO GREATLY LOVED AND
DEARLY PRIZED THE WORLD THAT HE
[EVEN] GAVE UP HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN
(UNIQUE) SON, SO THAT WHOEVER
BELIEVES IN (TRUSTS IN, CLINGS TO,
RELIES ON) HIM SHALL NOT PERISH
(COME TO DESTRUCTION, BE LOST) BUT
HAVE ETERNAL (EVERLASTING) LIFE.
I said all that to establish that
GOD is
absolute GOOD! He is Light, and there
is no darkness in Him (1 John 1:5). God
is Life. Let's look at what the Master
said to Thomas during the final
Passover meal only a few hours before
He was to be hung on the Cross. John
14:6 (AMPC) says: "Jesus said to him, I
am the Way and the Truth and the
Life; no one comes to the Father
except by (through) Me."
Continue reading through verse 14 in
the AMPC, which says: "[Yes] I will
grant [I Myself will do for you]
whatever you shall ask in My Name [as
presenting all that I AM]."
To understand to what He is referring,
one must be aware of Chapter 13:34-35
(AMPC):
The commandment of Love, who is
God, who is our Father, who has done
what? That question is answered in
Colossians 1:11-14 (AMPC):
34 I GIVE YOU A NEW COMMANDMENT:
THAT YOU SHOULD LOVE ONE
ANOTHER. JUST AS I HAVE LOVED YOU,
SO YOU TOO SHOULD LOVE ONE
ANOTHER.
35 BY THIS SHALL ALL [MEN] KNOW
THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU
LOVE ONE ANOTHER [IF YOU KEEP ON
SHOWING LOVE AMONG YOURSELVES].
My dear Partner,
that's shouting
ground! Let's go back to the First
Covenant. Look at Exodus 20:24 in the
AMPC: "An altar of earth you shall
make to Me and sacrifice on it your
burnt offerings and your peace
offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In
every place where I record My name
and cause it to be remembered I will
come to you and BLESS you."
"
I will come to you and BLESS you."
That, my dear brother and sister, is His
bottom line
of the original Ten
Commandments. Read them in your
AMPC.
