I f you look closely at South Suburban Parks and Recreation, you find the beautiful new South Suburban Sports Complex right alongside E470 as you drive west of I-25 with the beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains ahead of you. The flagship property boasts three NHL-size ice rinks. However, just a few miles to the east nestled at the north end of RW 17L/35R at Centennial A irport, lies Family Sports Center. The two-NHL sheet facility has a familiar name of the rink to the left as you walk through the main entrance. "The Avalanche Rink" dasher board and shielding system was installed in the late 90's and no longer met NHL standards. Therefore, the decision to replace the aging system in the 2022 Stanley Cup Champion's practice rink, with an up-to-date system that matched their game arena did not require a lot of discussion.
