The 56th SCORE BaJa 1000 Begins With Celebration From BaJa Sur

Huge crowds gathered for the Opening Ceremonies of the BFGoodrich Tires 56th SCORE Baja 1000 Presented by K&N, assembling across the Sea of Cortez along the Malecon in the city of La Paz, Mexico. It was the first time a SCORE Baja 1000 Peninsula run began in La Paz and ended in Ensenada, and this historical event marking the end of the 50th Anniversary celebration of SCORE International, was a huge impact to the local people and governments there.
In attendance were Victor Manuel Castro Cosio, Governor of Baja California Sur, Mayor of La Paz Milena Quiroga, along with many other government and director of tourism officials to start off this historic race.
The ceremony began with SCORE General Manager Juan Tintos Funke congratulating the city of La Paz for their incredible hospitality and especially the people who were welcoming and who helped make the start of the 56th SCORE Baja 1000 a complete success. SJ
