At the time of this writing, I am at our
prayer cabin just two miles from
where
the love of my life was born
Feb. 12, 1942. We came into this world
498 miles and five years apart. I was
born Dec. 6, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas.
We met Oct. 8, 1961, in Little Rock, Ark.
We entered into the covenant of
marriage Friday, April 13, 1962, and we
accepted Jesus as our LORD and
Savior six months later. And, in
January 1963, we both received the
Baptism in the Holy Spirit and spoke
in tongues as the Spirit gave us
utterance. Then we went to Oral
Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., in
1967, 57 years and one month ago.
This year, Partner, KCM is standing on
victory's shore. We will step on out in
Faith into the deep, and many souls
we will reap. How does Faith do that?
Let's go to The BOOK and see what
the Holy Spirit had to say through the
Apostle Paul in his letter to the
Romans in Chapter 4:16-17:
Dear Partner,
27 WHERE IS BOASTING THEN? IT IS
EXCLUDED.
BY WHAT LAW? OF
WORKS? NAY: BUT BY THE LAW OF
FAITH.
Galatians 5:6 says that Faith works by
Love. This is so important
for the 10
months that lie ahead of us. The
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition makes
Romans 4:17 very clear:
16
THEREFORE IT IS OF FAITH, THAT
IT MIGHT BE BY GRACE; TO THE END
THE PROMISE MIGHT BE SURE TO ALL
THE SEED; NOT TO THAT ONLY WHICH
IS OF THE LAW, BUT TO THAT ALSO
WHICH IS OF THE FAITH OF
ABRAHAM; WHO IS THE FATHER OF
US ALL,
17 (AS IT IS WRITTEN, I HAVE MADE
THEE A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS,)
BEFORE HIM WHOM HE BELIEVED,
EVEN GOD, WHO QUICKENETH THE
DEAD, AND CALLETH THOSE THINGS
WHICH BE NOT AS THOUGH THEY
WERE.
Calling things that be not as though
they were is a struggle for most
Christian people, especially those who
are not familiar with the law of Faith.
Let's go to Chapter 3 and read verse
27:
17 AS IT IS WRITTEN, I HAVE MADE
YOU THE FATHER OF MANY NATIONS.
[HE WAS APPOINTED OUR FATHER]
IN THE SIGHT OF GOD IN WHOM HE
BELIEVED, WHO GIVES LIFE TO THE
