CIT Class of
2019: It's Time to
Recertify!
All Certified Ice Techni-
cians (CIT) expiring in
2024 must complete a CIT
Recertification (CITR)
exam by the end of the year to remain current. In addi-
tion to the CITR exam, CITs must also maintain an annual
membership (Individual, Facility, or Vendor) with the United
States Ice Rink Association to keep their professional certifi-
cation current.
We are now offering an online exam option that provides
the opportunity for CITs to self-study and write the CITR
exam utilizing an online proctor. Online CITR exam dates
will be available April 15th on our website (usicerinks.com)
under the Education tab, then Registration.
*Any CIT that has allowed their certification to lapse more
than 5 years will no longer be eligible to take the recertification
exam and would need to repeat all 3 courses.

2024 Regional Training Program
(RTP) Locations
Starting in December 2023, all Facility Members were given
the opportunity to submit a Host Application for our 2024
Regional Training Programs (RTP). The deadline to submit
an application is January 31st. After review of the applications
and a vetting process, selected locations will then be contact-
ed, and a final calendar will be made available to our members
no later than April 15th. J
