Augustana men's hockey is thrilled to
call Midco Arena home.
More Programming to Come
While Midco Arena is still in its infancy,
Morton said the vision for more continues
to grow with each passing day.
"Our first priority of course was launch-
ing the Division I hockey program. That
was our No. 1 priority," said Morton. "But
beginning right away next year, we're add-
ing club hockey on the men's and women's
side. We have intramurals, and we're
hiring a club figure skating coach for
Augustana. So these campus opportuni-
ties are going to be terrific.
"We've already had one of the local
youth programs renting the facility dur-
ing the week, so that's been another piece
where we feel like we can add something
to the community with larger nation-
al tournaments that need a venue—this
would be perfect.
"We can't wait to partner with youth
and adult hockey to offer rental space
and host tournaments because it's such a
championship-level facility." J
